Our yoga teachers are trained at Yasodhara Ashram in Canada. Through our classes and Yasodhara Yoga practices, we emphasize relaxation and self-inquiry through the in-depth, integrated approach developed by Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh and brought to the West by Swami Sivananda Radha. We promote values of clarity, compassion, service and devotion. We welcome volunteers.

Get involved!
We invite you to participate in the city, town or village where you live by attending classes, workshops and events. There are also opportunities to help in other ways. How about inviting a visiting teacher to your community to facilitate a workshop? Consider becoming a Yasodhara Yoga teacher yourself through our teacher training programs, including deepening your practice and teaching if you are trained in a different tradition.
Our History
The network has grown since its beginnings in 1989 in Canterbury, England. The first Radha House opened there in 1990 and soon after, we started offering classes in Austria and Spain. We also started to sell Swami Radha’s books more widely, attending the Body Mind and Spirit annual fair in London and the Frankfurt book fair, where publishers began to take up her books and translate them into German, French, Italian, Hungarian, Portuguese and Spanish. Radha Centres were opened in London and SW France a few years later.
A Retreat Centre was established in 2003 on the Suffolk coast in England and the Braga Yoga Centre in Portugal joined our network soon after.
In 2014, in line with our fellow yoga teachers and centres in Canada and the USA, we took a new name – the Yasodhara Yoga European Network, to reflect the fact that we are an informal network of teachers and students whose spiritual home is Yasodhara Ashram in Canada. Our Charitable Network
Yasodhara Yoga Teachers and Centres support a network of charitable organizations.
Payments for classes and workshops and donations for Satsangs help us to meet expenses and raise funds to help teachers and students study locally and at Yasodhara Ashram in Canada. We also sponsor teaching tours by sanyasins.
Our registered charity, The Radha House Association (registered charity No 10507281 in the UK), assists with making Swami Radha’s teachings available in Europe. Our goal is to have a dedicated centre for the teachings in Europe. The Radha House Association offers other public benefits, such as:
- provide classes at accessible prices, with discounts for those who are on benefits
- offer opportunities for students and teachers to participate in Karma Yoga and satsangs without charge or with a bursary
- have yoga books and CDs available to students
Membership of the Radha House Association is open to anyone who has experienced the benefits of Yasodhara Yoga and wishes to support the mission of this work. Contact us for more information

Donations to help us continue this work are always very welcome
- Funds donated to the RHA provide bursaries to help students attend workshops and programmes in Europe, and at Yasodhara Ashram, and they help us to bring the teachings to you.
- You can also donate to support Yasodhara Ashram. Regular monthly donations are particularly helpful to provide a predictable and sustainable cash flow for daily Ashram operations.
